Beltangadi Police Register Case Over Alleged Blasphemous Facebook Comments

Beltangadi (Fikrokhabar News): Police in Beltangadi have registered a case after allegedly derogatory comments about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) appeared in the comment section of a Facebook post published by Varta Bharati.

The post was a report titled: “Beltangadi | SIT search continues in Bangle Gadde forest; two more skulls found.” In reaction to this, a user operating under the name “Sanatani Simha” reportedly posted offensive remarks. Soon after, another user identified as Chetan Hoodati allegedly repeated similar comments.

According to the complaint, these remarks have hurt the religious sentiments of the Muslim community and could disturb communal harmony. The case was filed by Akbar Beltangadi, president of the SDPI Beltangadi Assembly unit, who demanded strict legal action and immediate arrest of the individuals involved.

Members of the SDPI Assembly Committee, including Ashraf Katte, Saleem Sant Kere, Imtiaz GK, and Arif Kanteni, were also present when the complaint was lodged.
