Video Shows Alleged Threats by Bajrang Dal Members to Muslim Meat Vendors in Kolkata
A viral video from Kolkata has sparked concern after men identified as Bajrang Dal supporters were seen allegedly threatening Muslim meat sellers and asking them to shut their businesses.

A video circulating on social media has triggered outrage after it allegedly showed members of the Bajrang Dal threatening Muslim meat vendors in the Jadavpur area of Kolkata. The incident has raised fresh concerns about communal tensions in the state.
In the video, a man identified as a Bajrang Dal supporter is seen warning Muslim vendors to stop selling meat and leave the locality. Using abusive language, he questions why meat is being sold and animals are being slaughtered in an area where, according to him, the majority of residents are Hindus.
The man also claims that the Trinamool Congress government will no longer remain in power and tells the vendors to stop selling halal meat and leave the area. He suggests that they relocate to places such as Mallikpur, which he describes as having a larger Muslim population.
The date and exact location where the video was recorded have not been independently verified.
The incident comes amid reports of increasing hate related incidents targeting the Muslim community in West Bengal. According to Siasat.com, at least 10 such incidents were reported during the month of May.
The controversy has also drawn attention to recent remarks made by BJP leader and Nandigram MLA Suvendu Adhikari. Speaking to the media, Adhikari said he would focus on working for the Hindus of Nandigram, stating that it was Hindu voters who had helped him secure victory in the election.
The viral video has led to widespread criticism on social media and renewed debate over communal harmony and the safety of minority communities in the state.
