Uttara Kannada II PUC Toppers Felicitated, Students from Bhatkal and Dandeli Shine
Deputy Commissioner Lakshmi Priya praises students for their hard work and determination during felicitation ceremony in Karwar.
Karwar: Students from Bhatkal Anjuman and Dandeli Tawheed College who secured top ranks in the Second PUC examinations were felicitated during a special ceremony organised in Karwar on Friday.
The programme was jointly organised by the district administration, Zilla Panchayat, and the Department of Pre University Education at the Deputy Commissioner’s office hall to honour students who achieved outstanding results in the II PUC examinations.
Speaking at the event, Uttara Kannada Deputy Commissioner K Lakshmi Priya said that strong determination, self confidence, and continuous hard work are the keys to achieving success in any field.
She also highlighted the challenges faced by today’s youth and said that many young people are increasingly getting distracted by harmful habits. In such circumstances, students who overcome difficulties and excel in academics deserve appreciation and recognition.
The Deputy Commissioner credited parents and teachers for playing an important role in guiding the students towards success. She also thanked the Department of Pre University Education, HESCOM, the Transport Department, and the police administration for providing a supportive environment and necessary facilities during the academic year.
Lakshmi Priya encouraged students to continue working hard in the future and bring pride to their parents and the district through their achievements.
Students who were honoured during the programme also shared their thoughts and expressed gratitude towards their teachers and parents for supporting them throughout their academic journey.
They further stated that they aim to follow discipline and strong values in life while contributing positively to society.
