Three Injured After Truck Crosses Divider and Crashes Into SUV on NH 648 Near Bengaluru
CCTV footage captured the dramatic chain reaction crash involving a truck, tractor, and SUV in Devanahalli taluk.
A serious road accident involving three vehicles was caught on CCTV along National Highway 648 near Bengaluru, leaving three drivers injured and causing traffic disruptions in the area.
The incident occurred near Lakshmipura Gate in Devanahalli taluk of Bengaluru Rural district. Police said a truck was traveling on the Doddaballapura to Devanahalli stretch of the highway when the driver lost control of the vehicle.
The truck first slammed into a tractor moving in the same direction. The impact sent the vehicle out of control, and it climbed onto the median before crossing into the opposite lane.
Moments later, the truck crashed head on into a Mahindra Bolero SUV approaching from the other side of the road. CCTV footage shows a large cloud of dust rising after the collision while several nearby motorists and bikers narrowly escaped the accident.
Although all three vehicles suffered extensive damage, the drivers survived the crash. Local residents and emergency responders quickly reached the scene and rescued the injured men before taking them to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The Devanahalli Traffic Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the accident. Officials are examining CCTV recordings and speaking with witnesses to determine whether overspeeding, driver negligence, or a mechanical fault contributed to the truck losing control.
