A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media, causing concern among local residents and parents about the safety of students in the area.

Unscientific Construction and Official Negligence Alleged

Residents have blamed the situation on what they describe as unscientific construction work carried out by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and IRB, the company responsible for the project. According to locals, no effective drainage system has been provided to allow rainwater to flow freely.

At the same time, the municipal authorities are accused of failing to take necessary precautionary measures before the onset of the monsoon. Despite the seriousness of the situation, people allege that the local administration has not taken any firm action, leading to growing public anger.

Questions Raised Over Accountability

For many residents, monsoon-related problems have become a recurring issue every year. The latest incident occurred near the residence of the local MLA, prompting criticism from the public. Residents have questioned whether elected representatives had failed to anticipate such flooding and take preventive measures.

People have also urged the college management to play a more active role in ensuring student safety during the rainy season by providing proper guidance and precautions when crossing flooded roads.

Parents Express Concern

Parents say they remain worried until their children return home safely from school and college each day. They warn that if students are forced to risk their lives crossing roads under such dangerous conditions, any future tragedy should be the responsibility of local representatives, government authorities, and the departments concerned.

Residents are demanding immediate intervention from the authorities and a permanent solution to ensure the safe movement of students and the general public.
