SIO Protests in Mangaluru Over NEET and UGC NET Irregularities
Student organisation demands resignation of Union Education Minister and probe into NTA over alleged exam malpractices.

Mangaluru: The Dakshina Kannada unit of the Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) staged a protest near the Clock Tower in Mangaluru condemning the alleged irregularities and question paper leaks in the recently conducted NEET and UGC NET examinations.
During the protest, demonstrators demanded the immediate resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, accusing him of failing to ensure transparency and fairness in conducting national level examinations.
The protesters also called for a detailed investigation into the functioning of the National Testing Agency over the alleged examination malpractices.
Addressing the gathering, former GIO Karnataka State President Umera Banu questioned the credibility of the National Testing Agency and criticised its handling of major competitive examinations.
SIO Viras Kannur President Yaseen Fayaz said the repeated irregularities had crushed the hopes and hard work of thousands of students preparing for these exams over several years.
SIO Dakshina Kannada District President Mustafa reiterated the organisation’s demand that the Education Minister should take moral responsibility for the controversy surrounding the NEET examination and resign from his post.
