Sheikh Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Huthaify to Deliver Friday Sermon at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah
Sheikh Dr. Abdul Bari Al-Thubaiti named reserve khateeb for the 15 Rabi al-Awwal sermon
The Presidency for Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has announced that Sheikh Prof. Dr. Ali bin Abdul Rahman Al-Huthaify, Imam and Khateeb of the Prophet’s Mosque, will deliver this week’s Friday sermon in Madinah. The sermon falls on 15 Rabi al-Awwal 1448 AH, corresponding to late August 2026.
A reserve khateeb has also been named, as is customary. This week, that role goes to Sheikh Dr. Abdul Bari bin Awad Al-Thubaiti, who will step in if needed.
Sheikh Al-Huthaify is one of the most senior and long-serving imams at the Prophet’s Mosque, widely recognized for his recitation and sermons, which are broadcast live to worshippers in Madinah and millions of followers around the world each Friday.
