Sheikh Prof. Dr. Abdullah Al Juhaney to Deliver Friday Sermon at the Grand Mosque in Makkah
Sheikh Dr. Bandar bin Abdulaziz Baleela named reserve khateeb for the 15 Rabi al-Awwal sermon
The Agency for Imams and Muezzins Affairs has announced that Sheikh Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Awad Al-Juhani, Imam and Khateeb of the Grand Mosque, will deliver this Friday’s sermon in Makkah. The sermon falls on 15 Rabi al-Awwal 1448 AH, corresponding to late August 2026.
As is customary, a reserve khateeb has also been designated for the occasion. This week, that role goes to Sheikh Dr. Bandar bin Abdulaziz Baleela, who will stand in if required.
Sheikh Al-Juhani is a familiar and respected voice among worshippers at the Grand Mosque, with his sermons broadcast live to millions of Muslims following from Makkah and around the world each Friday.
Friday prayers at the Grand Mosque continue to draw large crowds each week, with worshippers gathering from across the globe to follow the khutbah and prayers live from the Holy Kaaba.
