Sheikh Dr. Khalid Al-Muhanna to Deliver Friday Sermon at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah
Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman Al-Bu'ijan named reserve khateeb for the 1 Rabi al-Awwal sermon

The Presidency for Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has announced that Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Sulaiman Al-Muhanna, Imam and Khateeb of the Prophet’s Mosque, will deliver this week’s Friday sermon in Madinah. The sermon falls on 1 Rabi al-Awwal 1448 AH, corresponding to mid-August 2026.
A reserve khateeb has also been named, as is customary. This week, that role goes to Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman Al-Bu’ijan, who will step in if needed.
Sheikh Al-Muhanna is one of the imams serving at the Prophet’s Mosque, with his sermons broadcast live to worshippers in Madinah and followers around the world each Friday.
