Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaifi to Deliver Friday Sermon at the Prophet’s Mosque on 21 Dhul Qa’dah
The senior Imam of Masjid al-Nabawi is confirmed to lead this week's Jumu'ah prayer in Madinah on 21 Dhul Qa'dah 1447 AH.

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has announced that Sheikh Dr. Ali bin Abdurrahman Al-Hudhaifi, Imam and Khateeb of the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, will deliver this Friday’s sermon and lead the Jumu’ah prayer at Masjid al-Nabawi.
The prayer is scheduled for 21 Dhul Qa’dah 1447 AH – just nine days before the start of Dhul Hijjah, when the Hajj season officially begins. Madinah is currently welcoming a growing wave of pilgrims from across the world who visit the Prophet’s Mosque before making their way to Makkah for Hajj, making this one of the most attended Jumu’ah prayers of the year.
As is the standard practice, a Reserve Khateeb has also been officially confirmed for this week. Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Abdurrahman Al-Buaijan will serve as the standby preacher, ready to step in if needed.
Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaifi is one of the most senior and long-serving Imams at Masjid al-Nabawi. He is widely recognised across the Muslim world for his deep, moving recitation of the Holy Quran and his thoughtful Friday sermons, which are broadcast live each week to millions of Muslims globally through television and digital platforms.
