Scooter Rider Seriously Injured After Colliding With Health Minister U T Khader’s Escort Vehicle
Minister U T Khader ensures immediate medical treatment for the injured rider after the accident near Ankola.
Ankola: A scooter rider was seriously injured after his vehicle collided with the escort vehicle of Karnataka Health and Family Welfare Minister U T Khader near Varadaraj Hotel in Ankola taluk of Uttara Kannada district on Saturday.
The accident took place while the minister was travelling from Karwar to Udupi under official escort.
Soon after the incident, Minister U T Khader stopped and personally ensured that the injured rider received immediate medical attention. He directed officials to shift the victim to a nearby hospital without delay.
The injured rider has been identified as Sandeep Nayak, a resident of Alageri village in Ankola taluk. He was admitted to Arya Medical Hospital in Ankola with a head injury. Hospital sources said he has escaped with his life and is currently undergoing treatment.
A case has been registered at the Ankola Police Station, and an investigation into the accident is underway.
