Saudi Arabia Sets May 31 as Date for Resuming Umrah Visas After Hajj Season.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah confirms that Umrah pilgrims can re-enter the Kingdom starting 14 Dhul Hijjah 1447 AH.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia has officially announced that 14 Dhul Hijjah 1447 AH, corresponding to Sunday, 31 May 2026, has been set as the date for the resumption of Umrah visa issuance and the re-entry of Umrah pilgrims into the Kingdom.
This announcement was expected, as Saudi Arabia routinely suspends Umrah visas during the Hajj season to manage the flow of visitors to the holy sites and ensure the safety and smooth operation of Hajj — the world’s largest annual religious gathering.
With Hajj 2026 now concluded by that date, the Kingdom will once again open its doors to Umrah pilgrims from around the world, allowing Muslims to visit Masjid al-Haram in Makkah and Masjid al-Nabawi in Madinah to perform Umrah and worship at Islam’s holiest sites.
Muslims wishing to perform Umrah after the Hajj season are advised to plan their travel from 31 May 2026 onwards and to apply for their Umrah visas through the official Nusuk platform once issuance resumes on that date.
This is welcome news for millions of Muslims worldwide who had been waiting for the Hajj period to end before booking their Umrah trips, particularly those planning to visit during the remaining blessed days of Dhul Hijjah.
