Renowned Qur’an Professor Sheikh Basheer Ahmad Siddiq Passes Away in Madinah
Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais extends heartfelt condolences on behalf of the officials of the Prophet's Mosque.

MADINAH – Sheikh Basheer Ahmad Siddiq, a highly respected Professor of the Holy Qur’an in the sacred city of Madinah, passed away on Thursday.
Following the news, Sheikh Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, who leads the affairs of the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, issued a statement of condolence.
On behalf of himself, and all the Imams, preachers, muezzins, and teachers of the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Al-Sudais expressed his deepest sympathies to the family, relatives, and students of the late scholar.
In his message, Sheikh Al-Sudais prayed that Allah rewards Sheikh Basheer abundantly for his dedicated service to the Holy Qur’an and its teachings. He asked Allah to grant the late scholar His infinite mercy and a place in Paradise.
The statement concluded with a prayer for Sheikh Basheer’s family and loved ones, asking God to grant them patience and comfort during this difficult time and to ease their sorrow.
