Rahul, Priyanka, and Akhilesh Detained Near PM’s Residence During High-Voltage March Over Student Agitation

High drama unfolded in the national capital as top INDIA bloc leaders, including Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, were detained by Delhi Police after staging a march toward Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official residence.

The opposition escalation comes in the wake of intense student demonstrations in central Delhi, where youth protesting alleged exam paper leaks and irregularities faced heavy police barricading, baton charges, and tear gas. Marching directly to 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, the senior leaders demanded personal accountability from the central government, calling for the immediate resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Visuals from the spot showed police personnel surrounding the senior politicians and escorting them into waiting security buses after they refused to disperse from the restricted zone.
