He explained that good deeds performed during these days carry immense reward and value in the sight of Allah. Referring to Hadith, he said that even acts like jihad do not match the reward of sincere worship performed during these sacred days except in the case of someone who sacrifices both life and wealth entirely for the sake of Allah.Speaking about Qurbani, Moulana Abdul Aleem Nadvi said that sacrifice is not merely about slaughtering an animal. Instead, it is a reminder of the unparalleled obedience and devotion shown by Prophet Ibrahim عليه السلام and Prophet Ismail عليه السلام.

He explained that Allah tested Prophet Ibrahim by commanding him to sacrifice his beloved son, teaching humanity that love for Allah must stand above every worldly attachment. The willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to submit completely to Allah’s command represents the true spirit of Islam and surrender before the Creator.

According to the speaker, Qurbani is meant to create sincerity, humility, obedience, and taqwa within believers. He said that Allah does not look at the blood or meat of sacrificed animals, but rather at the piety and sincerity present in the hearts of people.

The sermon also stressed that sacrifice should not become a matter of show, pride, or competition. Instead, Muslims should focus on strengthening their relationship with Allah and developing the spirit of gratitude, submission, and devotion.

Moulana Abdul Aleem Nadvi further explained that Allah has made even large and powerful animals obedient to human beings as a sign of His power and mercy. This should increase a believer’s gratitude and awareness of Allah’s greatness.

He urged Muslims to reflect upon the story of Prophet Ibrahim and Prophet Ismail during the days of Qurbani and to ensure that their sacrifices are performed according to Islamic teachings and with pure intentions.

Concluding the bayan, he advised believers to use these blessed days for worship, remembrance of Allah, and self purification so that the true objectives of Qurbani can be achieved.
