Vijayapura: A police constable recruitment examination held at Sharadamba PU College in Tikota was disrupted after several candidates staged a protest over alleged irregularities in the examination process.

According to the candidates, the question papers, which were scheduled to be distributed at 10.30 am, were handed out about 30 minutes late. They claimed the delay created uncertainty and affected the smooth conduct of the examination.

Aspirants also alleged that the serial numbers on the question papers did not match those on the OMR answer sheets. They said the distribution process was inconsistent across different classrooms. In some rooms, candidates received the question papers before the OMR sheets, while in others the order was reversed, resulting in confusion among examinees.

Following the incident, hundreds of candidates walked out of the examination centre and demanded that the recruitment test be conducted again, alleging that the irregularities had compromised the fairness of the examination.
