Maulana Ammar Hasani Nadwi urges students to pursue academic excellence and develop expertise in specialised fields.

Bhatkal: Maulana Ammar Hasani Nadwi, Admin Secretary of Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulama, Lucknow, visited Jamia Islamia Bhatkal on Saturday. A brief programme was held at the Jamia Mosque after the Zuhr prayer, during which two books were formally launched in his presence.
Addressing the students, Maulana Ammar Hasani Nadwi stressed the importance of progressing in the field of knowledge and developing expertise in a specific academic discipline.
The first book launched at the programme is a collection of articles highlighting the life and services of Master Saifullah, a former teacher of Jamia Islamia Bhatkal. The book has been compiled and edited by Maulana Samaan Nadwi and Dr Abdul Hameed Athar.
Speaking about the book, Maulana Samaan Nadwi said Master Saifullah had maintained a close relationship with graduates of the Jamia. Several alumni have expressed their memories and experiences through articles included in the collection.
The book seeks to present different aspects of Master Saifullah’s personality, life and contribution to the institution.
The second book launched was Rawdat un Nisa, authored by Maulana Shafi Nadwi, a Rafeeq e Fikrokhabar and teacher of its online Fiqh classes. The third edition of the book has now been published.
Explaining the features of the new edition, Maulana Shafi Nadwi said two editions had previously been published, while the latest edition includes several additional topics and improvements.
The Hadith references have been provided in greater detail, while the jurisprudential issues have been reviewed and researched again before being presented with reliable references.
The issues have also been organised under separate headings and explained in a simple and accessible manner. The book also points out cases in which an opinion differs from the relied upon position of the Shafi’i school in commonly encountered matters.
Later, Maulana Ammar Hasani Nadwi addressed the students and encouraged them to develop their academic abilities under the guidance of their teachers. He advised them to focus on a particular field and work towards gaining expertise in it.
He also spoke about the long standing and close relationship between Bhatkal and Nadwatul Ulama. Recalling the close association between the people of Bhatkal and the late Maulana Ali Mian Nadwi, he said the people of Bhatkal had played an important role in carrying forward the intellectual vision of Nadwa.
Maulana Ammar Hasani Nadwi expressed his appreciation for the graduates of Jamia Islamia Bhatkal who are serving in different fields. He described their academic and practical contributions as valuable and urged the community to make better use of their abilities.
He further called for efforts to expand the scope of these activities in a more organised manner and to create greater opportunities for graduates to contribute their skills and experience.
The gathering concluded with dua.
