According to the viral clip, Ehsaan allegedly referred to the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister as “goondas”. The video quickly circulated across social media platforms, prompting police to begin an investigation.

Following his arrest, videos emerged showing Ehsaan standing outside a police station and apologising for his comments. In the footage, he was seen holding his ears and assuring that he would not repeat the remarks in the future.

Another video released after his detention showed him apologising while appearing to limp, drawing further attention to the incident.

Superintendent of Police Vinayak Gopal Bhosale said authorities first verified the authenticity of the viral video before taking action. He stated that a preliminary examination found sufficient grounds to proceed, leading to the registration of a First Information Report under relevant legal provisions.

Bhosale said that after confirming the video’s authenticity, police registered a case against the accused and initiated further legal proceedings.

In a statement shared on X, Meerut Police said they had taken cognisance of the viral video and launched legal action against the individual for allegedly making inappropriate remarks against people holding constitutional offices.

The police also stated that cases had been registered under relevant sections against both the individual seen in the video and others accused of encouraging such actions. Officials confirmed that Ehsaan had been taken into custody and that further legal proceedings were underway.
