According to reports, the rescued tourist has been identified as Dilip Kumar, a resident of Bengaluru. He had visited Murudeshwar Beach with three friends for an outing.
While swimming in the sea, Dilip was reportedly carried into deeper waters by strong waves and began struggling to stay afloat.
Lifeguards stationed at the beach noticed him struggling in the water and immediately launched a rescue operation. Lifeguards and police personnel entered the sea and managed to bring him safely back to the shore.
Their prompt response helped prevent a possible tragedy and ensured the tourist’s safety.
