Khan Sir’s Coaching Centre Attacked in Patna, Students Hold Protest Seeking Security
A group of unidentified men allegedly vandalised Khan Global Coaching Institute, leaving a security guard injured and triggering student protests.

Patna witnessed tension on Tuesday night after the Khan Global Coaching Institute, run by well known educator Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, was allegedly attacked by a group of miscreants in the Kadamkuan area.
According to police officials, around 15 to 20 people reportedly entered the coaching institute at about 10:10 pm and damaged property inside the premises. The attackers are suspected to be linked to a rival coaching centre. During the incident, a security guard was allegedly assaulted and suffered serious head injuries. He was later admitted to Patna Medical College and Hospital for treatment.
Khan Sir alleged that the attackers also opened fire during the attack. However, police have not found any evidence to support the claim so far. Officials stated that CCTV footage reviewed during the preliminary investigation does not show any firing. They also noted that the First Information Report filed in the case does not mention gunshots.
Police teams reached the location soon after receiving information about the incident. Authorities have launched raids and are working to identify and arrest those involved.
Speaking about the attack, Khan Sir suggested that the incident was driven by competition and resentment over his institute’s popularity. He said his coaching centre has consistently produced successful candidates while keeping fees affordable for students. He also pointed to the strong performance of his students in the recent Bihar Police Recruitment examinations.
The situation remained tense on Wednesday, leading to the cancellation of classes for the day. A large number of students gathered outside the institute and staged a protest, demanding stronger security arrangements for their teacher. Many said they would continue their demonstration until the administration guaranteed his safety.
Khan Sir later appealed to the students to remain calm and avoid disrupting public movement. He urged them to focus on their studies and thanked the Bihar Police and district administration for their prompt response and continued presence at the site.
The incident has raised concerns among students, parents, and members of the education community in Patna. Police have assured that strict legal action will be taken against those found responsible.
