Jamaat e Islami Hind Holds Seerat Get Together in Bhatkal, Leaders of Different Faiths Attend

Bhatkal: Jamaat e Islami Hind’s Bhatkal unit organised a Seerat Get Together on Tuesday evening as part of its ongoing Seerat campaign titled “The Prophet Who Lit the Lamp of Revolution.” The programme was held at Hotel Royal Oak and was attended by prominent figures from different religious and social backgrounds.

Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Muhammad Kunhi, Karnataka state secretary of Jamaat e Islami Hind, said the life and universal message of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, offer important guidance to humanity at a time when compassion, love and concern for others are declining in society.

He said the Prophet’s life was not confined to matters of worship. His conduct in family life, business, social relations and public administration also provides a comprehensive example for people seeking to build a just and peaceful society.

Muhammad Kunhi stressed that a strong and harmonious society can be built only through mutual respect, compassion, brotherhood and love. He called for efforts to remove hatred and mistrust between people and encouraged communities to understand one another and live together peacefully.

In his introductory remarks, Muhammad Raza Manvi said programmes that bring people from different communities together are essential for developing greater understanding.

He said such initiatives can help reduce social distances, strengthen mutual trust and create an atmosphere of tolerance and peaceful coexistence.

The gathering was attended by Jamaat e Islami Hind Bhatkal president Maulana Syed Zubair SM Nadvi, secretary Rauf Ahmed Savanur and Seerat campaign convener Mujahid Mustafa.

Former MLA JD Naik, Government Employees Association president MN Naik and labour leader JN Revanakar were also among those present, along with several prominent social, political and community leaders from Bhatkal.
