Israeli forces have killed three Palestinians in Gaza in the latest breach of a ceasefire agreement that has been repeatedly violated since taking effect in October.

An Israeli military statement claimed that troops identified three Palestinians who crossed the designated “Yellow Line” and approached Israeli positions, “posing an immediate threat.” The army said it carried out an airstrike in southern Gaza, killing one person, and opened fire in the north, killing two others.

The attacks follow reports from Palestinian medical sources earlier on Tuesday that two people were killed and several others wounded in separate Israeli attacks across the enclave.

These incidents underscore the fragility of the truce, which has failed to halt ongoing violence. According to the Gaza Health Ministry, Israeli forces have killed 425 Palestinians and wounded 1,189 others since the ceasefire began on October 10, 2025.

The broader toll of Israel’s military campaign remains staggering, with over 71,000 Palestinians killed—most of them women and children—and more than 171,000 wounded since October 2023. The war has also displaced nearly the entire population and reduced much of Gaza to ruins.
