Young karate athletes from Bhatkal delivered strong performances at a recent state level open karate championship in Mangaluru, with siblings Muhammad Nameer and Ayesha Naba earning top honors.
Muhammad Nameer achieved a notable milestone by winning the Grand Championship title for the third consecutive year. His latest victory completes a rare hat trick and further establishes his consistency on the competition circuit.
Nameer competed in both kata and kumite, displaying strong technique, focus and confidence throughout the event. His performance helped him secure the overall Grand Championship title once again.
His sister, Ayesha Naba, also turned in an impressive showing. She won in her respective age and weight categories, earning multiple medals and adding to the family’s success at the tournament.
The siblings train with martial arts instructors in Bhatkal and have continued to perform well in regional competitions.
