Hindutva Leader Sparks Outrage After Call to Boycott Muslim Vendors in Haryana
Video from Hodal shows inflammatory remarks urging economic exclusion of Muslims.

A video circulating on social media has triggered controversy after a Hindutva leader allegedly called for an economic boycott of Muslim vendors and workers in Haryana’s Hodal town.
The individual in the video, identified as Mohit Chaudhary, who serves as National Secretary of the Bhagwa Gau Raksha Samiti, is seen confronting a local honey seller named Qutbuddin. During the exchange, Chaudhary questions the quality and cleanliness of the vendor’s products, making unverified and provocative claims about how they are prepared.
In the video, he urges members of the Hindu community to avoid buying goods from people identified as Muslims based on their names. He appeals to what he describes as “Sanatanis” to completely cut off economic ties, insisting they should only support Hindu-owned businesses.
Chaudhary also advises against employing Muslims for any kind of labour, including construction or repair work. He makes further remarks suggesting that the community should be excluded from economic participation, framing his appeal as a response to what he describes as growing tensions.
The situation escalates in the video when Chaudhary issues a direct warning to the vendor, telling him not to return to the area and threatening violence if he does.
The video has led to widespread debate online, with many raising concerns about communal harmony, hate speech, and the impact of such statements on social cohesion in the region.
