The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has published the official weekly prayer schedule for the Imams of Masjid al-Haram in Makkah, covering the period from Sunday, 16 Dhul Qa’dah to Saturday, 22 Dhul Qa’dah 1447 AH.

Here is the complete schedule for the week:

Fajr (Dawn Prayer) Led by Sheikh Dr. Maher bin Hamad Al-Muaiqly, with Sheikh Dr. Bandar bin Abdulaziz Baleelah serving as the backup Imam.

Dhuhr (Midday Prayer) Led by Sheikh Dr. Usamah bin Abdillah Khayyat, with Sheikh Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Awwad Al-Juhani as the reserve Imam.

Asr (Afternoon Prayer) Led by Sheikh Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Awwad Al-Juhani, with Sheikh Dr. Maher bin Hamad Al-Muaiqly standing by as backup.

Maghrib (Sunset Prayer) Led by Sheikh Dr. Bandar bin Abdulaziz Baleelah, with Sheikh Dr. Maher bin Hamad Al-Muaiqly as the reserve Imam.

Isha (Night Prayer) Led by Sheikh Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Awwad Al-Juhani, with Sheikh Dr. Bandar bin Abdulaziz Baleelah serving as the backup Imam.


All designated Imams are senior scholars serving at the Grand Mosque in Makkah. Their daily prayers are broadcast live and followed by millions of Muslims worldwide. The General Presidency releases this schedule every week to keep worshippers, pilgrims, and visitors well informed ahead of time.

This week’s schedule falls in the latter part of Dhul Qa’dah, with Hajj season now very close. The Grand Mosque is receiving an increasing number of pilgrims daily as Muslims from around the world begin arriving in Makkah in preparation for Hajj.
