Delhi Police has started identifying people allegedly involved in violent incidents during the ongoing Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protests and is considering recommending the cancellation of passports for those found responsible.

According to police sources, investigators are examining CCTV footage, video recordings, and other technical evidence to identify individuals who allegedly took part in rioting and other violent acts during the demonstrations.

The sources said that once those directly involved are identified, action to cancel their passports may be initiated in accordance with the relevant legal provisions.

The development follows clashes that broke out during the CJP led Sansad Chalo march on July 20. The protest was organised to demand the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the ongoing examination controversy.

The confrontation resulted in injuries to both police personnel and protesters, with several people requiring hospital treatment after violence erupted during the march.
