Congress High Command Calls Siddaramaiah to Delhi Amid Karnataka Leadership Speculation
The Chief Minister says he will meet senior Congress leaders in Delhi as discussions continue over leadership issues and a possible cabinet reshuffle.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has confirmed that he has been called to New Delhi by the Congress high command for an important round of discussions. The meeting comes at a time when political conversations around the state leadership and cabinet expansion are gaining attention within the party.
Speaking to the media, Siddaramaiah said the party leadership had invited him for consultations in Delhi. He described the meeting as part of regular coordination between the state and central leadership. However, political circles believe the talks could focus on the ongoing leadership discussions involving Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar.
Speculation over a possible change in leadership has intensified after the Congress government completed half of its term in Karnataka. Reports about an earlier power sharing understanding between Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar during the formation of the government have once again triggered debate within the party.
The meeting is also expected to address the long delayed cabinet reshuffle in the state. Several Congress legislators are said to be seeking ministerial roles, and the party leadership may take a final call on new appointments to ensure regional and community balance in the cabinet.
Apart from leadership matters, the discussions are likely to include preparations for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections. With seats from Karnataka expected to fall vacant soon, the Congress leadership is expected to discuss candidate selection and election strategy.
Siddaramaiah said that both he and the Karnataka Congress unit would follow any direction given by the party high command. He added that all decisions taken by the central leadership would be respected and implemented by everyone in the party.
