Cockroach Janata Party Founder Abhijeet Dipke Leads Jantar Mantar Protest, Demands Resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan
Thousands of students and youth activists starts join a peaceful demonstration over alleged NEET UG examination irregularities and accountability concerns.

A large number of students and youth activists gathered at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Saturday to participate in a protest demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the ongoing controversy surrounding alleged irregularities in the NEET UG examination.
The demonstration was organized by the online movement known as the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), led by social media activist Abhijeet Dipke. Following confirmation that authorities had permitted the gathering at Jantar Mantar, Dipke called upon supporters from across the country to assemble directly at the protest venue.
Ahead of the rally, Dipke appealed to participants to conduct themselves peacefully and responsibly. He urged protesters to avoid any form of confrontation, vandalism, or disruptive behavior, emphasizing that the movement’s objective is to seek accountability through democratic and lawful means.
The protest stems from widespread concerns among students regarding alleged examination paper leaks, corruption, and administrative lapses linked to the NEET UG medical entrance examination. Organizers say the movement seeks justice for affected aspirants and greater transparency in the examination system.
Addressing supporters after arriving in New Delhi, Dipke stated that physical demonstrations had become necessary following restrictions faced by the group’s online platforms. He maintained that peaceful public participation remains an important democratic tool for raising concerns.
Delhi Police granted permission for the protest at Jantar Mantar and significantly strengthened security arrangements around the area. Senior police officials met Dipke upon his arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport before he proceeded to the protest venue.
Authorities also increased security deployment around several high profile locations in the national capital, including the residences of senior government leaders. Protest organizers requested participants to carry books and the Indian national flag as symbols of peaceful civic engagement.
Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court declined an urgent hearing on a public interest petition that sought preventive and crowd management measures related to the demonstration. The protest continued under close security supervision as participants reiterated their demand for accountability in the country’s examination system.
