Bhatkal Hosts AIITA Workshop on 21st Century Teaching Skills and Artificial Intelligence
Teachers receive practical training on modern teaching methods, AI tools and the role of human values in education
Bhatkal (Fikrokhabar News): A one day training workshop for teachers on 21st century teaching skills and the effective use of Artificial Intelligence in education was organised by the All India Ideal Teachers Association (AIITA), Karnataka, in Bhatkal on Sunday.
The workshop was held at Dr. M. T. Hasan Bappa Hall with the support of Shams PU College and New Shams School. The programme focused on helping teachers adapt to changing educational needs and make effective use of modern technology and AI based tools in the classroom.
Professor Mahboob ul Haque of Maulana Azad National Urdu University Polytechnic, Bengaluru, served as the resource person. He explained how technology and AI tools can be incorporated into teaching to make learning more engaging, effective and outcome oriented. He also provided practical demonstrations of various digital tools that can assist teachers in their day to day work.
AIITA State Vice President Dr. Sanaullah Shareef addressed the gathering on the topic “Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as a Teacher”. He highlighted the educational and moral responsibilities of teachers and stressed that human values should remain at the heart of the teaching profession even as technology continues to advance.
The workshop also included a felicitation programme for educators who recently retired after long years of service. AIITA Uttara Kannada District President Ali Menigar, Ghalib Oti and Azra Khatun were honoured for their contributions.
Nizamuddin Mamtigatti, a retired Physical Education Teacher of Islamia Anglo Urdu High School, was presented with the Ideal Teacher Lifetime Achievement Award 2026 in recognition of his educational and training services.
New Shams School also bid farewell to teacher Hajra Jabeen, who completed 18 years of teaching service at the institution.
The programme began with an inaugural and welcome address by AIITA State President Mohammed Raza Manvi. State Secretary Yaseen Bhakba introduced the organisation, its objectives and activities.
Maulana Ziaur Rahman Ruknuddin, Vice President of the educational institution, delivered the presidential address. Syed Qutb Burmawar Nadwi, Secretary of the school and college management, was also present.Teacher Arafat compered the programme, while Principal Fahmida Data delivered the vote of thanks, bringing the workshop to a close.
