Bhatkal’s Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management hosted its 46th annual convocation on Sunday, bringing together graduates, families, faculty, alumni, and community leaders for a day of celebration and reflection.

The event, organized under the umbrella of Anjuman Hami e Muslimeen Bhatkal, opened with a recitation from the Holy Quran. College Principal Dr. K. Fazlur Rahman then took the stage to deliver the welcome address and present the institution’s annual academic and administrative report. Registrar Prof. Zahid Kharuri followed with introductions of the distinguished guests in attendance.

The chief guest for the occasion was Shahid Abbas Mir, Chief Operating Officer of Chinar Quantum AI. In his address, he urged students to stay ahead of the curve by embracing emerging technologies and aligning their skills with the evolving demands of industry. Honorary guest Gokul B. Alex, Chief Innovation Officer at the same company, encouraged the graduating class to cultivate a mindset of lifelong learning and to seriously consider entrepreneurship as a career path.

A major highlight of the day was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between AITM and Chinar Quantum AI. The agreement is expected to open doors for students in areas such as industrial training, internships, collaborative research, and improved employment prospects. It marks a significant step toward bridging the gap between academia and the tech industry.

Students who excelled in academics, sports, and extracurricular activities were honored with special awards and certificates during the ceremony.

Mohammad Sadiq Pallur, Vice President of Anjuman Hami e Muslimeen, presided over the event. In his presidential remarks, he reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to delivering quality education and nurturing well rounded individuals. Principal Dr. Fazlur Rahman then administered the graduation oath, after which degrees were conferred upon students completing their BE, MBA, and MCA programs.

Dr. Kiran V. Shanbhag, Head of the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department and convener of the program, delivered the vote of thanks. The ceremony concluded with the national anthem.

Among the notable attendees were Anjuman Hami e Muslimeen General Secretary Mohammad Ishaq Shah Bandri, College Administration Committee Secretary Mohammad Ansar Damda Abu, Vice President Dr. Zubair Kola, and Additional General Secretary Mohammad Ismail Jokako, along with several other office bearers. The program was jointly anchored by Prof. Sureshail Bhat, Mohammad Iyad, and Mohammad Zaid.
