Ali Public Pre-University College Bhatkal Students Shine at District Level Quiz
College teams secure First, Second and Fourth places in the End the Cancer 2026 district finale
Bhatkal: Students of Ali Public Pre-University College, Bhatkal, brought pride to the institution by securing First, Second and Fourth places in the district level End the Cancer 2026 quiz competition held at Dr. A. V. Baliga College of Arts and Science in Kumta on Saturday.
The district level finale was organised as part of the End the Cancer 2026 initiative in collaboration with the District Health and Family Welfare Department, Uttara Kannada, and Team SOS India Foundation. The initiative aims to create awareness among students and the public about cancer prevention, tobacco control, oral cancer and other common forms of cancer.
Students from various schools and colleges across Uttara Kannada participated in the initiative, which included cancer awareness quizzes and other awareness activities.
Demonstrating strong knowledge, confidence, teamwork and quick thinking, students of Ali Public Pre- University College delivered an impressive performance, securing three positions among the top achievers.
The First Position was secured by Aysha Udyawar, daughter of Mohammed Faique Udyawar, and Sara Shazeen Barmawar, daughter of Abdul Basit Barmawar.
The Second Position was won by Aysha Hira Tonse, daughter of Mohammed Ismail Tonse, and Umme Salmah Rukunuddin, daughter of Mohammed Uzair Rukunuddin.
Adding to the college’s achievement, Fatima Samha Akrami, daughter of Abdul Aziz Akrami, and Fatima Tahani Ajaib, daughter of Mohammed Talha Ajaib, secured an impressive Fourth Position.
The achievement reflects the students’ dedication, preparation, teamwork and competitive spirit. It also highlights the institution’s efforts to provide students with opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills beyond the classroom.
The Management and Principal of Ali Public Pre-University College congratulated all the students on their outstanding performance and appreciated their hard work, confidence and team spirit.
