Kuwaiti reciter and preacher Mishary Rashid Alafasy has spoken out against what he describes as a coordinated campaign targeting him from outside the region. He said the criticism, often delivered in English, reflects what he believes are misleading motives and organized efforts to undermine his views.

Alafasy pointed to reactions from voices he associates with pro Iran and pro Muslim Brotherhood positions, noting that many responses have included personal insults. According to him, these reactions suggest a pattern of retaliation rather than genuine disagreement.

Despite the criticism, Alafasy made it clear that his position remains unchanged. He emphasized his commitment to defending his country and the Gulf states, particularly in the face of what he described as ongoing Iranian aggression in the region.

He argued that such actions disproportionately affect Gulf countries more than Israel, a point he has raised repeatedly in previous statements.

At the same time, Alafasy stressed that opposing Iran does not mean supporting Israel. He reiterated his rejection of Israeli actions against Palestinians, including those in Gaza, underlining that his stance is consistent across both issues.

His remarks come amid heightened tensions and ongoing debates across the region about political alliances, influence, and security priorities.
