AITM Students Clinch First Prize at National Hackathon in Mangaluru
Third year Computer Science team wins ₹40,000 at PAETRIX x Hack Summit 2026

Bhatkal: Students of Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management have brought pride to the town after winning first place at a national level hackathon held in Mangaluru.
A team of third year Computer Science and Engineering students from AITM secured the top prize at the PAETRIX x Hack Summit 2026, hosted by P. A. College of Engineering. The 24 hour competition took place on April 29 and 30 and saw participation from engineering colleges across the country.
Competing against several talented teams, the AITM students impressed the judges with their technical skills, creativity and teamwork. Their innovative approach and effective problem solving helped them claim the first prize along with a cash award of ₹40,000.
The winning team included Mohammed Zaid, Abdul Rehaman, Mohammed Mustafa and Mohammed Hanzala, all third year students of the Computer Science department.
The achievement reflects AITM’s strong focus on practical learning and innovation. The institution actively encourages students to take part in technical events, competitions and project based learning activities to strengthen their industry readiness.
College management congratulated the students for their outstanding performance. Principal Dr. K Fazlur Rahaman, Registrar Prof. Zahid Kharuri and Head of the Department Dr. J. Anvar Shathik praised the team for their dedication and hard work.
College authorities said the victory highlights the growing talent emerging from Bhatkal and reinforces AITM’s commitment to promoting innovation and technical excellence among its students.
The success at the national event has become a proud moment for the institution and is expected to inspire many more young engineers at AITM to aim higher.
