‘Wherever They Stop Us Will Become Our Jantar Mantar’: Abhijeet Dipke Calls for March to Delhi
CJP leader says protesters from across India will march to Delhi on October 10 if CEC Gyanesh Kumar does not resign

New Delhi: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has announced plans for a nationwide mobilisation in Delhi, saying supporters from across India will march to Jantar Mantar on October 10 if Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar does not resign.
In a statement, Dipke said the proposed protest would be peaceful and would follow the path of Mahatma Gandhi.
He said that if Delhi Police attempted to stop the protesters from reaching Jantar Mantar, “wherever they stop us will become our Jantar Mantar.”
Dipke said the decision on how the protest unfolds would depend on the government and Delhi Police, adding that authorities should respect the right to peaceful protest.
He also referred to the police action witnessed during an earlier protest on July 20 and said protesters did not want a repeat of what he described as “brutality.”
“This is a fight to save our democracy,” Dipke said, urging citizens who support free and fair elections to join the proposed agitation.
The announcement comes after CJP held a protest in Mumbai on October 2, where Dipke again demanded Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation and warned of a further “Jantar Mantar 2.0” agitation if the demand was not met.
The proposed October 10 mobilisation is part of the CJP’s wider campaign concerning the Election Commission and the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. The party has also raised demands concerning voter roll changes and the appointment process for future Chief Election Commissioners.
