Two Young Lives Lost in Late-Night Highway Crash in Bhatkal
A 15-year-old student and a 20-year-old college student died after their car hit an electric pole on National Highway in Venktapur
Bhatkal – A terrible accident on Saturday night took the lives of two young men on the Venktapur National Highway in Bhatkal. The incident has left their families and the local community in deep shock and sadness.
The accident happened around midnight when a car traveling from Shirali to Bhatkal crashed into an electric pole along the highway. The exact cause of the crash is still unclear, but police found a large number of jelly stones scattered at the scene. This has raised questions about what might have caused the driver to lose control.
Authorities have noted that three to four CCTV cameras are installed near the accident spot. Officials hope the camera footage will help them understand exactly what happened.
The car was being driven by Ayan (20), son of Abdul Salam Akrami. Ayan was a college student studying in Mangaluru. He suffered serious injuries in the crash and was being taken to Udupi for emergency treatment. Sadly, he died on the way to the hospital.
The passenger in the car was Bilal (15), son of Mohammed Ashraf Ruknuddin Shipai. Bilal was a Class 10 student who lived in Azad Nagar, Bhatkal. He died at the accident spot.
Bilal’s body has been taken to Bhatkal Government Hospital for post-mortem examination. After all legal procedures are completed, the body will be handed over to his family.
The sudden loss of these two young lives has brought immense grief to both families and the entire community. Local residents are mourning the tragic deaths of the two youths who had their whole lives ahead of them.
