Tipper Driver Killed, Seven Injured in Multi Vehicle Collision Near Jagalbet
A chain collision involving four vehicles on the Karwar Ramanagar highway claimed one life and left seven people injured.

Joida: A fatal road accident involving four vehicles occurred near the Krishna Temple curve at Jagalbet on the Karwar Ramanagar main road, resulting in the death of a tipper driver and injuries to seven others.
According to preliminary information, a tipper lorry travelling on the highway reportedly went out of control and crashed into a Nissan car, a Bolero vehicle, and a motorcycle one after another. The impact of the collision was severe, causing the vehicles to overturn and sustain extensive damage.
The tipper driver, identified as Babu, a native of Kumta, suffered critical injuries in the accident and died on the spot.
Seven people travelling in the affected vehicles were injured in the mishap. Soon after receiving information about the accident, local residents and police personnel rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to the Ramanagar Government Hospital for immediate treatment.
As some of the injured were reported to be in serious condition, they were later referred to KIMS Hospital in Hubballi and other hospitals in Belagavi for advanced medical care.
The accident led to a temporary halt in traffic movement on the Karwar Ramanagar highway, causing congestion and delays for several hours. Police and emergency teams worked to clear the damaged vehicles from the road and restore normal traffic flow.
Ramanagar Police Station PSI Mahanthesh Nayak and his team visited the accident site and conducted an inspection. A case has been registered, and police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
