The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has announced that Sheikh Dr. Usamah bin Abdillah Khayyat, Imam and Khateeb of Masjid al-Haram, will deliver this Friday’s sermon and lead the Jumu’ah prayer at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.

The prayer is scheduled for 14 Dhul Qa’dah 1447 AH – a particularly significant time of year as the Kingdom enters the final stretch before Dhul Hijjah and the Hajj season officially begins. Makkah is already welcoming growing numbers of pilgrims and visitors from across the world, making this Friday’s gathering at Masjid al-Haram an especially meaningful one.

As is the established practice, a Reserve Khateeb has also been officially confirmed for this week. Sheikh Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Awwad Al-Juhani will serve as the standby preacher, ready to lead should the need arise.

Sheikh Khayyat is a senior and well-respected scholar who has served as an Imam at Masjid al-Haram for many years. He is known for his scholarly depth and composed delivery, and his Friday sermons are broadcast live and reach millions of Muslims worldwide through television and digital platforms.
