Sheikh Prof. Dr. Maher Al-Mueaqly to Deliver Friday Sermon at the Grand Mosque in Makkah
Sheikh Dr. Bandar bin Abdulaziz Baleela named reserve khateeb for the 29 Rabi al-Awwal sermon

The Agency for Imams and Muezzins Affairs has announced that Sheikh Prof. Dr. Maher bin Hamad Al-Mueaqly, Imam and Khateeb of the Grand Mosque, will deliver this Friday’s sermon in Makkah. The sermon falls on 29 Rabi al-Awwal 1448 AH.
As is customary, a reserve khateeb has also been named for the occasion. This week, that role goes to Sheikh Dr. Bandar bin Abdulaziz Baleela, who will step in if required.
Sheikh Al-Mueaqly is one of the most recognized imams at the Grand Mosque, known for his distinctive recitation and followed by millions of worshippers through live broadcasts from Makkah each week.
Friday prayers at the Grand Mosque continue to draw large crowds, with Muslims from around the world tuning in to follow the khutbah and prayers live from the Holy Kaaba.
