Sheikh Faisal Al-Ghazawi to Deliver the Last Friday Sermon of Dhul Qa’dah at Masjid al-Haram
The Imam of the Grand Mosque in Makkah will lead Jumu'ah prayer on 28 Dhul Qa'dah 1447 AH — the final Friday before Hajj season begins.

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has announced that Sheikh Prof. Dr. Faisal bin Jameel Al-Ghazawi, Imam and Khatib of Masjid al-Haram, will deliver this Friday’s sermon and lead the Jumu’ah prayer at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.
The prayer is scheduled for 28 Dhul Qa’dah 1447 AH — making this the last Friday of Dhul Qa’dah and one of the final Jumu’ah prayers before the blessed month of Dhul Hijjah begins and the Hajj season officially gets underway. At this extraordinary time of the year, Masjid al-Haram is packed with pilgrims and worshippers who have travelled from every corner of the world, giving this week’s prayer a truly special weight and significance.
As is the established practice, a Reserve Khaeeb has also been officially confirmed for this week. Sheikh Dr. Maher bin Hamad Al-Muaiqly will serve as the standby preacher, ready to step in if needed.
Sheikh Al-Ghazawi is a senior and highly respected scholar who has served as an Imam at the Grand Mosque for many years. He is known for his scholarly depth and sincere delivery, and his sermons are broadcast live each week and followed by millions of Muslims around the world through television and digital platforms.
