Sheikh Dr. Yasser Al-Dosari to Deliver Friday Sermon at the Grand Mosque in Makkah
Sheikh Faisal bin Jamil Ghazzawi named as reserve khateeb for July 31 sermon

The Agency for Imams and Muezzins Affairs has announced that Sheikh Prof. Dr. Yasser Al-Dosari, Imam and Khateeb of the Grand Mosque, will deliver this Friday’s sermon in Makkah. The sermon falls on 17 Safar 1448 AH, corresponding to July 31, 2026.
As is customary, a reserve khateeb has also been named for the occasion. This week, that role goes to Sheikh Prof. Dr. Faisal bin Jamil Ghazzawi, who will step in if needed.
Sheikh Al-Dosari is one of the most well-known imams at the Grand Mosque, celebrated for his distinctive recitation style and widely followed by Muslims around the world through live broadcasts from Makkah.
Friday sermons at the Grand Mosque continue to draw massive audiences both in person and online, with worshippers tuning in from across the globe each week to follow the khutbah and prayers live from the Holy Kaaba.
