The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has announced that Sheikh Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Awwad Al-Juhaney, Imam and Khateeb of Masjid al-Haram, will deliver this Friday’s sermon and lead the Jumu’ah prayer at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.

The prayer is scheduled for 21 Dhul Qa’dah 1447 AH — one of the last Fridays before the arrival of Dhul Hijjah and the start of the Hajj season. At this stage of the year, Makkah is seeing a significant and steady surge in the number of pilgrims arriving from across the globe, making Friday prayers at Masjid al-Haram among the most attended of the entire year.

He is recognised for his clear and engaging style of delivery, and his Friday sermons are broadcast live each week and followed by millions of Muslims worldwide through television and online platforms.
