Saudi Authorities Deny Suicide Bomber Reports at Grand Mosque in Makkah
Officials say a man was arrested for frightening and harassing people, while claims of a suicide bombing were false.

Saudi authorities have rejected reports claiming that a suicide bomber was involved in an incident at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.
According to Saudi Public Security, security personnel arrested a man in Makkah after he allegedly harassed people and caused fear and panic among passersby.
Authorities responded to the situation immediately and took the necessary legal measures against the individual. He was later referred to the Public Prosecution for further action.
Public Security said reports circulating about a suicide bomber were false and stressed that no such attack had taken place.
The authorities also urged the public to rely on official sources for information, particularly when reports involving public safety and sensitive locations begin circulating online.
The Grand Mosque in Makkah is one of Islam’s holiest sites and welcomes large numbers of worshippers and visitors throughout the year.
