Rahul Gandhi Says Congress Will Use Truth and Non-Violence to Oust Modi-RSS Government
At Delhi rally, Congress leader accuses BJP of “vote theft” and targets Election Commission over alleged bias.

New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday said his party stands firmly with truth and non-violence and is determined to remove what he described as the “Narendra Modi–RSS government” from power.
Addressing the Congress rally titled “Vote Chor Gaddi Chhod” at Ramlila Maidan, Gandhi launched a sharp attack on the BJP and the Election Commission of India. He alleged that the poll body was functioning in favour of the ruling party and named Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi in his criticism.
“The BJP has power, but they are indulging in vote theft. We stand with satya (truth), and we will remove the Modi-RSS government,” said Gandhi, who is the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.
He claimed that during elections, the BJP transferred ₹10,000 to voters, but no action was taken by the Election Commission. Calling it a fight between truth and falsehood, Gandhi alleged that the Election Commission was siding with the BJP-led government.
Gandhi also criticised a law brought in by the Modi government that, according to him, provides immunity to Election Commissioners. He said a future Congress government would change the law retrospectively and take action against those responsible.
While acknowledging that the struggle may take time, Gandhi expressed confidence that truth would ultimately prevail. “We will fight this battle using truth and non-violence, and we will defeat Modi and Amit Shah,” he said.
