Rabita Educational Awards 2026 to Be Held on August 9 at Anjuman Ground in Bhatkal
Renowned education expert Sameer Ahmad Siddiqui will attend as the chief guest at Rabita Society's annual student award ceremony.
Bhatkal: Rabita Society Bhatkal has officially announced the date, programme schedule, and updated eligibility criteria for the Rabita Educational Awards 2026, one of the region’s most anticipated annual events celebrating academic excellence.
The award ceremony will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2026, corresponding to 25 Safar 1448 AH, at Anjuman Ground, Bhatkal. Every year, the event brings together students, parents, teachers, and educationists to recognise outstanding academic achievements.
Rabita Society General Secretary Ateequr Rahman Muniri said this year’s programme will feature renowned educationist and civil services mentor Sameer Ahmad Siddiqui as the chief guest. Based in New Delhi, Siddiqui is associated with leading civil services coaching institutions and has guided many students preparing for competitive examinations, including the IAS, IPS, and other central government services.
The programme will be conducted in two sessions. The first session will begin at 10 am and continue until 12:45 pm. The second session will start after Asr prayers and conclude before Maghrib, with a large gathering of students, teachers, parents, and representatives of educational institutions expected to attend.
Speaking about the eligibility criteria, Rabita Society Treasurer Maulana Sabir Ali Akbara Nadwi said the awards will continue to be presented across four categories, namely Bhatkal, Gulf, Inside India, and Canara Muslim Gulf Council.
This year, the qualifying score for second year Pre University Course students has been increased from 90 percent to 95 percent. The eligibility requirement for SSLC students remains unchanged at 95 percent.
For toppers from Anjuman institutions, including BA, BSc, BCom, BBA, BBM, BEd, BE, and postgraduate courses such as MBA, MCA, and MCom, students must secure at least 85 percent marks to qualify for the award.
The society will also honour two outstanding students from Jamia Islamia Bhatkal and two outstanding students from Jamiat Us Salihat with special awards.
For students studying in Gulf countries, an A plus grade has been made the minimum qualification under the grading system. Awards in the Gulf category will be presented to three outstanding Class 10 students, one topper from each stream of Class 12, and one degree topper who has secured at least 85 percent marks.
Rabita Society has also announced special recognition for district toppers. In addition, the programme will include the Best School Award and the Best Teacher Award to encourage excellence in educational institutions and among teachers.
Former Jeddah Jamaat president Abdus Salam Damda Abu has been appointed as the convener of the Rabita Educational Awards 2026. He is working with the award committee to complete preparations for the event.
