Rabita Awards 2026 Ceremony Held in Bhatkal, Outstanding Students Honoured, Inspiring Address by Sameer Ahmed Siddiqui

Bhatkal: The prestigious Rabita Awards 2026 ceremony, organised by Rabita Society Bhatkal, was held at the Anjuman Ground of Islamia Anglo Urdu High School, Bhatkal, recognising students who achieved outstanding results in various fields of education.

Students who excelled in SSLC, PUC, graduation, post graduation, Alimiyyah, and other special categories were honoured during the event. The Usman Hasan Memorial Best School Award was presented to Anjuman Girls High School, Nawayath Colony, while the S. M. Syed Khalilur Rahman Best Teacher Award was conferred on Aysha Marfuwa Siddibapa in recognition of her 19 years of teaching service at Anjuman.

The programme was conducted in two sessions, featuring the presentation of awards as well as addresses focusing on education, character building, and the changing needs of the younger generation.

The chief guest, Sameer Ahmed Siddiqui, a prominent educationist and mentor to students preparing for civil services, delivered a detailed address on the rapid development of Artificial Intelligence and its impact on education and employment.

Siddiqui praised the efforts being made in Bhatkal to promote both religious and modern education and support the intellectual development of young people. He said these initiatives should not remain limited to Bhatkal but should expand to other parts of the country and the world.

He said the current era is not simply about seeking employment but about creating new opportunities. With AI rapidly changing the nature of traditional jobs, he stressed the need to equip students with creative, intellectual, and practical skills that can make their abilities valuable in a changing global economy.

Siddiqui also cautioned against excessive dependence on AI, particularly when making important decisions. He said children must be encouraged to think independently, ask questions, make decisions, and develop their own problem solving abilities.

He described the present era as an exceptional opportunity for young people, noting that information and resources can now be accessed within moments that previous generations required decades to obtain. He said education should therefore go beyond providing answers and should encourage students to ask better questions, conduct research, innovate, and apply their knowledge in practical settings.

Referring to the history of Muslims, he highlighted the importance of knowledge, trust, and integrity. He said a community that combines its abilities with strong moral values can make significant progress.

Rabita Society General Secretary Muneeri Ateequr Rahman introduced the organisation’s various initiatives and highlighted its contributions to education and social development. Congratulating the award recipients, he said the recognition should not be viewed as the destination of their journey but as the beginning of a greater responsibility to use their knowledge and abilities for the benefit of society.

He also acknowledged the important role played by parents, teachers, and educational institutions in helping students achieve success.

Qazi Jamaat Al Muslimeen Bhatkal Maulana Abdul Rab Nadwi urged students to give equal importance to character development alongside education. Qazi Khalifa Jamaat Al Muslimeen Bhatkal Maulana Khwaja Moinuddin Madani encouraged students to work hard, remain consistent, and continue striving for excellence in education.

Rabita Society President Misbah Farooq delivered the presidential address.

Programme Convener Abdul Salam Damda Abu announced the Best School and Best Teacher awards, while Raid Qazi presented the Rabita anthem.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of awards to students who achieved outstanding results in various categories. President of Anjuman Hami e Muslimeen Bhatkal Yunus Qaziya, President of Majlis Islah wa Tanzeem Bhatkal Inayatullah Shabandari, Rabita Society Treasurer Maulana Sabir Ali Akbara Nadwi, and other office bearers were present.
