Power Supply to Be Disrupted in Kumta, Honnavar, Bhatkal and Sirsi on August 13
HESCOM announces scheduled outages for maintenance and repair work at several power substations and feeder lines.
Electricity supply will be disrupted in several parts of Uttara Kannada district on Thursday, August 13, as HESCOM carries out scheduled maintenance and repair works at multiple power substations.
Kumta, Honnavar and Bhatkal
Quarterly maintenance work will be carried out at the 110 kV substations in Kumta, Honnavar and Murdeshwar.
As a result, power supply in parts of Kumta, Honnavar and Bhatkal taluks will remain suspended from 10 AM to 2 PM.
Sirsi
In Sirsi, work involving the 110 kV tension insulator at the 220/11 kV Esaluru substation, along with quarterly maintenance, will be undertaken.
Power supply across Sirsi city is expected to be disrupted from 9 AM to 5 PM.
The outage will also affect several rural areas and feeder routes, including Banavasi, Sugavi, Devanalli, Chipagi, Marigadde, Kengre, Vanalli, Hulekal, Salkani, Sampakhand and Taragod.
Power supply will also be suspended along the Isaluru, Dasanakoppa, Bankanala, Tigani, Andagi, Bhashi and Bachgaon routes.
Officials said electricity may be restored earlier than the scheduled time if the maintenance work is completed ahead of schedule.
HESCOM has requested consumers to cooperate with the maintenance teams and make necessary arrangements in advance.
