PM Modi Consults Economists Ahead of 2026-27 Budget Presentation

New Delhi (PTI): On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with prominent economists and sectoral experts to discuss the upcoming Union Budget for 2026-27. The discussion, which began at 11 AM, aims to gather valuable insights and suggestions ahead of the budget’s presentation.
Key participants in the meeting included Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Suman Bery, NITI Aayog CEO BVR Subrahmanyam, along with other senior members of NITI Aayog, economists, and experts from various sectors.
The Union Budget for 2026-27 is expected to be presented by Finance Minister Sitharaman on February 1, 2026. This meeting is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to shape an effective economic policy and address critical issues facing various industries.
