Petrol and Diesel Prices Increased by Rs 3 Per Litre Across India
Fuel prices rise nationwide as oil companies respond to fluctuations in global crude oil markets.

New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices have been increased by around Rs 3 per litre across the country with immediate effect, following continued volatility in international crude oil markets.
State owned oil marketing companies announced the revised fuel rates on Friday, citing rising global energy costs as the reason behind the latest hike.
In Delhi, the price of petrol has gone up by Rs 3 to Rs 97.77 per litre, while diesel is now being sold at Rs 90.67 per litre.
Among the major metro cities, Kolkata recorded the highest increase in petrol prices. Petrol rates in the city rose by Rs 3.29, taking the new price to Rs 108.74 per litre. In Mumbai, petrol prices increased by Rs 3.14 to reach Rs 106.68 per litre. Chennai also witnessed a rise of Rs 2.83, with petrol now costing Rs 103.67 per litre.Diesel prices saw a similar upward revision across major cities.
In Kolkata, diesel prices increased by Rs 3.11 and now stand at Rs 95.13 per litre. Mumbai recorded a hike of Rs 3.11, pushing diesel rates to Rs 93.14 per litre. In Chennai, diesel prices rose by Rs 2.86 to Rs 95.25 per litre.
The latest increase is expected to impact transportation costs and daily expenses for consumers across the country.
