The Uttara Kannada district administration has introduced one way traffic on a stretch of National Highway 66 between Binga and Arga in Karwar taluk as a precaution against possible landslides during the ongoing monsoon.

According to the district administration, continuous heavy rainfall has increased the risk of soil, rocks, and debris sliding onto the highway from nearby hillsides between Binga Kari Devasthana and Arga Mahadevasthana Cross. The measure has been taken to ensure the safety of commuters and prevent accidents.

The administration has urged motorists and the public to follow the traffic restrictions and stay informed about alternative routes and traffic advisories while travelling through the area.
