New Karnataka Chief Minister to Take Oath on June 3 at Governor’s House
Congress leader G C Chandrashekhar says the ceremony will be held in a simple manner at the Glass House in Lok Bhavan.

Bengaluru: The swearing in ceremony of Karnataka’s new Chief Minister will be held on June 3 at the Glass House in Lok Bhavan, located inside the Governor’s House in Bengaluru.
Congress state unit working president and Rajya Sabha member G C Chandrashekhar confirmed the decision while addressing a press conference on Saturday.
He said there was some initial confusion about the venue, but the party later decided to hold the ceremony at the Governor’s House. The exact timing of the oath taking ceremony will be announced later.
Chandrashekhar said the party had earlier considered arranging around 10,000 to 15,000 buses from different parts of Karnataka to bring supporters to Bengaluru for a large public event. However, the plan was dropped due to concerns over the fuel crisis and possible traffic congestion in the city.
He said the ceremony should remain simple and meaningful, focusing on service and responsibility rather than show or grandeur.
The Congress leader also appealed to party workers and supporters not to rush to the venue. He urged them to cooperate with the arrangements so that the public does not face traffic problems or inconvenience on the day of the ceremony.
